Job Description

The Casino Database Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing player and operational data to support marketing strategies, loyalty programs, and operational decisions. This role ensures accurate data extraction, segmentation, and reporting to optimize player engagement, increase revenue, and maintain compliance with gaming regulations.

1. Data Management & Analysis

- Maintain and update casino player databases (e.g., CMS, loyalty programs).

- Analyze player activity, trends, and segmentation for marketing campaigns.

- Perform statistical and predictive analysis to forecast player behavior and revenue opportunities.

- Ensure data integrity and perform routine audits of player records.

2. Reporting & Insights

- Create dashboards and reports for management, hosts, and marketing teams.

- Provide insights on campaign performance, player lifetime value (LTV), and return on investment (ROI).

- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for tracking marketing effectiveness and host performance.

3. Campaign Support

- Collaborate with marketing to execute database-driven promotions, direct mail, and email campaigns.

- Generate targeted player lists for events, offers, and reactivation programs.

- Track response rates and campaign success metrics for continuous improvement.

4. Compliance & Security

- Ensure adherence to gaming regulations, data privacy policies, and internal controls.

- Protect sensitive player data and support audit requirements.

5. Cross-Department Collaboration

- Work closely with IT, Player Development, and Finance to align data strategies.

- Support senior management with ad hoc data requests and decision-making insights.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Database Administration and Database Design
  • SQL is preferred
  • Data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Proficiency in Excel and statistical tools (e.g., R, Python is a plus)
  • Knowledge of casino management systems (IGT / Bally) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
