The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions efficiently and accurately while providing excellent customer service. This role ensures proper handling of cash, credit, and digital payments, as well as maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries when needed.
- Process sales transactions accurately using cash registers, POS machines, or digital payment systems.
- Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods responsibly.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges in compliance with company policies.
- Ensure accuracy in cash counts at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the checkout counter.
- Assist in bagging items and promoting store products when required.
- Report discrepancies, customer concerns, or technical issues to the supervisor.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
- At least High School or Senior High graduate.
- Experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is an advantage.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of POS systems is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Trustworthy, honest, and reliable.
- Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
