Role Description The Cashier at Gerry's Grill in Vigan is a full-time, on-site role responsible for handling customer payments and ensuring accurate, efficient transaction processing. Day-to-day tasks include operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, issuing receipts, managing cash and card transactions, and balancing the cash drawer at the end of shifts. The Cashier greets guests, responds to basic inquiries, and coordinates with serving and kitchen staff to support smooth front-of-house operations. Additional responsibilities may include processing takeout orders, assisting with order verification, maintaining a clean and organized counter area, and following company policies and local regulations related to cash handling and customer service.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle cash and electronic payments accurately, including basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills, with a friendly, professional, and patient approach when interacting with guests.
• Comfort using point-of-sale (POS) systems or similar technology, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work full-time shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic knowledge of food service or retail operations is an advantage; prior cashier or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial; willingness to undergo training in cash handling and customer service.
