Cash Application / Accounts Receivable Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Apply customer payments accurately and timely to the appropriate accounts and invoices.
• Perform cash application, bank reconciliations, and payment research to ensure accurate account balances.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, unidentified payments, and other AR exceptions.
• Monitor and manage outstanding payment issues and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Maintain accurate and complete AR records and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to resolve payment-related concerns.
• Ensure compliance with established processes, controls, and deadlines.
• Prepare reports and perform account analysis as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in B2B cash application, accounts receivable posting, or a related function.
• Experience in B2B, SaaS, Technology, or Shared Services environments is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in cash application, bank reconciliations, payment research, and exception management in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms; exposure to AR tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
