Summary of the Position:

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Carrier Sales Representative to manage and grow a network of carriers while ensuring efficient load assignments and delivery. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, securing agreements with carriers, and achieving sales goals within the transportation and logistics industry.

The ideal candidate has experience in sales, logistics, or transportation coordination and is highly skilled in negotiation, communication, and relationship management. This role requires adaptability, problem-solving, and a strong customer-focused mindset to maintain consistent carrier engagement and ensure timely load fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with carriers to establish a reliable network for assigned loads.
  • Identify, review, and validate load details, including type, departure/destination, estimated arrival, and budget for negotiation.
  • Present load details to carriers and negotiate terms to hire carriers for transportation assignments.
  • Manage active loads assigned based on region, customer, or team requirements, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
  • Track and report on sales performance, load assignments, and carrier engagement metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operational flow and address any issues or delays.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and safety or regulatory standards.
  • Close deals by securing mutually beneficial agreements and booking loads to achieve sales targets.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, logistics, or transportation coordination.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple loads and maintain relationships with carriers simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS), CRM platforms, or other business applications is an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and results-driven.
  • Must be willing to work in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
