Position Overview
As an Equipment Operator , you will be responsible for executing essential tasks related to
Cargo ground handling operations , including baggage and cargo handling , GSE operation , and catering logistics. This position plays a critical role in ensuring flight readiness and operational safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and position Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
- Tow cargo and baggage dollies between the cargo warehouse and baggage build-up areas .
- Conduct 360-degree safety and equipment checks prior equipment handling
- Safely operate, brake-check, and connect GSE in accordance with safety standards .
- Perform loading and unloading of baggage and cargo based on timeframes and load plans.
- Secure special loads such as Dangerous Goods (DG) , AVI (Animals in Transit) , and Heavy Cargo , following labeling and segregation procedures.
- Utilize equipment properly (e.g., cones, chocks, air stairs, Aviramps, tail stands, ULDs, trolleys ).
- Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and proper turnover of all equipment after operations.
Qualifications
- High School or Senior High School graduate
- Must be physically fit and able to perform labor-intensive tasks
- Valid Professional Driver's License (LTO, with restriction codes 1, 2, 3)
- Preferably with at least 1 year of driving experience
- Advantageous to have experience operating forklifts, man-lifts , or similar equipment
