Company Description Riverside College, Inc. (RCI) is a private, non-sectarian, coeducational higher education institution located in Bacolod, Negros Occidental, Philippines. Owned and operated by Metro Pacific Health, the largest private hospital group in the country and part of the MVP Group of Companies, RCI is closely connected to healthcare practice and innovation. It is recognized as the first school in Bacolod City affiliated with a teaching hospital and remains the largest allied health college in Negros Occidental. The college offers programs from senior high school to vocational, undergraduate, and graduate levels, including Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Medical Technology, Psychology, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, and a Master in Nursing program. RCI also provides the only TESDA-accredited live-in caregiving program in Bacolod City, strengthening its focus on healthcare and community service.

Role Description The Career Coach is a full-time, on-site role based at Riverside College in Bacolod City. This role focuses on supporting students and graduates in planning and pursuing their career paths through one-on-one coaching sessions, group workshops, and classroom presentations. Daily responsibilities include providing career counseling, assisting with resume and cover letter development, preparing learners for job interviews, and guiding them in exploring career options aligned with their academic programs and interests. The Career Coach will collaborate with faculty, administrators, and external partners to organize career fairs, employer talks, and internship opportunities. The role also involves tracking student progress, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the college's career development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Job Coaching and Career Counseling to support diverse learners in making informed career decisions.
  • Skills in Career Development and Interview Preparation to guide students in planning pathways, building job search strategies, and succeeding in recruitment processes.
  • Excellent Communication skills, including active listening, presentation, and report writing, to engage effectively with students, faculty, and employers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Human Resources, Education, or a related field; a master's degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
  • Experience working in career services, counseling, talent development, or related fields, preferably in an academic or training environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with academic departments and external organizations, and to manage multiple student cases and activities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of local and international labor markets, recruitment practices, and career pathways in healthcare and allied fields is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in using office productivity tools and online platforms for career resources, scheduling, and student engagement.
