Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurse

The Medical City Iloilo is seeking a qualified Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Staff Nurse who will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures. What's the Role All About

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures.
• Assist cardiologists and the Cath Lab team during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency.
• Prepare patients for procedures by conducting assessments, verifying consent, and ensuring readiness.
• Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status throughout procedures.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed, following established protocols.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and assist in life-saving interventions during critical situations.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation of patient care and procedural details.
• Ensure adherence to infection control, radiation safety, and Cath Lab protocols.
• Operate and assist in maintaining Cath Lab equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
• Preferably with at least one (1) year of experience in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, ICU, ER, or Critical Care Nursing.
• Training or certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, hemodynamics, and interventional cardiology procedures.
• Proficient in documentation and use of electronic medical record systems.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment dedicated to quality and compassionate care.
