SUPERVISOR, CAGE
What can you tell your friends when they ask what you do
As a Cage Supervisor, of Cage & Count you are primarily responsible for assisting with the efficient management and effective operation of the Cage in accordance with business objectives and departmental service standards.
Responsibilities – How will you do this
- Assist Senior Cage Management in achieving Cage Key Performance objectives.
- Implement Senior Cage Management decisions regarding staffing levels in each of the Casino Cages, and ensure the operation runs effectively and efficiently in accordance with established service standards.
- Ensure constructive and productive working relationships and the timely and accurate dissemination of information is maintained with other departments across Nustar, ensuring consistent service delivery.
- Assist with maintaining business improvement processes that enhance operational systems efficiency.
- Assist with the development, maintenance and revision of policies and procedures pertaining to Cage operations. Ensure all duties are performed in strict compliance with relevant policies and procedures. i.e., PAGCOR, AML and Internal Control Procedures.
- Maintain awareness of and report on matters consistent with the compliance and risk management program.
- Establish and maintain a strong rapport with our people and our customers, ensuring the provision of professional, timely and accurate service.
- Act as an ambassador to VIP guests and premium players; including providing personalized service in regard to Casino finance matters, such as attending to Program buy-ins and settlements.
- Perform all Cage associated administrative duties as required i.e., reporting and enforcing of anti-money laundering policies and procedures and assisting Senior Cage Management with the preparation of various statistical data for reporting purposes.
- Review and balance daily banking figures and cash, as well as Cheque and Main Bank, identifying and reconciling any anomalies or variances, issuing of gaming cheques and verify bank cheques
- Supervise, coach and develop a direct report with staff to ensure performance and succession requirements are met, by identifying training requirements of our people and utilize various management tools, as well actively participate in the recruitment and selection of appropriate personnel.
- Recommend and / or execute management policies to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, discharge, re-assign, or discipline staff.
To Be Successful, You'll Need
- I. Experience. 1. Minimum 2 years financial experience, preferably from within the Gaming Industry 2. A sound knowledge of banking systems 3. A level of previous experience in a Supervisory or Managerial capacity. 4. 1 year Cage Cashier experience may also be considered. II. Education Preferably with tertiary education or its equivalent job experience.
