Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer requirements, forecasts, and available resources.
Oversee production progress and revise schedules as needed to handle delays, shortages, or shifting priorities.
Ensure production schedules are aligned with customer delivery targets.
Materials & Inventory Coordination
Collaborate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to secure the timely supply of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
Track material availability and escalate potential shortages that could disrupt production.
Assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels by balancing production demands with stock availability.
Production Monitoring & Reporting
Compare actual production output against planned targets and analyze causes of any discrepancies.
Generate and submit reports on production status, backlogs, and on-time delivery performance.
Join daily production meetings to provide updates and recommend corrective actions.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Sales teams to address planning and operational challenges.
Manage the impact of engineering changes on production schedules and material requirements.
Contribute to planning activities for new product introductions (NPI).
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
Identify and implement improvements to enhance planning accuracy, workflow efficiency, and scheduling effectiveness.
Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards (e.g., ISO).
