As Cadet Engineers, you will be learning and understanding plant operations and maintenance processes. Review and master basic process flows of the plant and plant operations & maintenance such as, but not limited to, Preventive Maintenance System, Corrective Maintenance System, start-up, normal operation, shutdown. You will work closely with the team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Learn Plant Operations: Grasp the basic process flows of thermal power plants and understand daily operations and maintenance processes, including start-ups, normal operations, and shutdowns.
- Execute and Shadow O&M Activities: Shadow current Operations and Maintenance personnel to execute daily activities (such as PMS and CMS) and perform preventive and corrective maintenance under the guidance of qualified staff.
- Understand Industry Standards: Learn the rules, procedures, and guidelines of electric power industry laws, including EPIRA, the Grid Code, and ERC Resolutions.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Learn the interdependencies of various support departments with Operations and Maintenance, and maintain good communication across teams to ensure a safe and smooth workflow.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, and Information Security policies. You will also be responsible for reporting incidents and protecting the company's information assets.
- Continuous Development: Participate in Tool Box meetings, comply with reportorial requirements, and remain up-to-date with new power plant designs and operations by reading industry materials and attending professional development events
To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:
- Possesses a fundamental awareness of Power Plant Operations & Maintenance, Safe Work Systems, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and critical thinking skills, along with excellent oral and written communication.
- Thrives in teamwork and collaboration.
- Has proven leadership experience, at least having served as an officer of an academic club or student organization.
- Is starting their career, with less than 1 year of professional work experience (project experience is not required)
What You Will Need:
- A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- 1 to 2 years of work experience, fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
- A valid license as a Registered Engineer.
- Note: Being a scholarship grantee or graduating with honors is considered a strong advantage.
