CAD Engineer – Aerospace Propulsion

Location: Sta. Cruz, Manila

FEATI University is seeking a CAD Engineer specializing in Aerospace Propulsion to support its engineering research and development projects. The role involves propulsion design, CAD modeling, engineering analysis, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design of aerospace propulsion systems, components, assemblies, and related test hardware.

  • Develop accurate 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks, applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).

  • Perform assigned engineering calculations and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), thermal, and structural analyses within demonstrated technical competence.

  • Prepare technical reports documenting analysis methods, assumptions, verification activities, results, and design recommendations.

  • Conduct literature reviews, benchmarking, and technical investigations to support propulsion design and development.

  • Support test planning, review test data, compare predictions with measured results, and assist with failure investigations and design improvements.

  • Keep updated with current trends in the design of aerospace propulsion systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D part, assembly, and engineering drawing preparation.

  • Ability to apply the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and mechanics of materials to engineering design and analysis.

  • Knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and assembly considerations.

  • Familiarity with CFD, thermal analysis, or finite element analysis is an advantage.

  • Ability to perform engineering calculations, interpret simulation results, and prepare clear technical reports.

  • Good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with initiative and accountability for assigned work.

  • Relevant academic projects, research, or experience in aerospace propulsion or prototype development are an advantage.
