CAD Designer / Drafter

Job Type: Full-Time (Project-Based)

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM PST, with a 1-hour break

Salary: $1,200 per month

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer / Drafter to create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models that support the design and manufacturing of architectural and structural components. This role collaborates closely with engineering, production, and project teams to translate project requirements and specifications into detailed shop drawings and fabrication-ready documents.

The ideal candidate ensures the timely delivery of high-quality drawings, maintains organized digital files, and adheres to established drafting standards and workflows. This role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and revise 3D models and 2D drawings using AutoCAD and Rhino (or similar CAD platforms).
  • Convert architectural plans and specifications into production shop drawings.
  • Prepare detailed dimensional drawings, fabrication sheets, and component layouts.
  • Verify measurements and perform field checks when required.
  • Review and update drawings to ensure accuracy and correctness before release.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including Engineering, Production, and Sales to gather information.
  • Maintain organized electronic drawing files and revision documentation.
  • Follow established drawing standards, naming conventions, and project workflows.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Complete assigned work in a timely manner and maintain productivity expectations.
  • Ask for clarification when instructions or requirements are unclear.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CAD Designer, Drafter, or similar role in manufacturing, construction, or architectural industries
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, or similar 2D/3D drafting tools
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication detailing
  • Ability to interpret architectural plans, engineering drawings, and project specifications
  • High attention to detail with strong accuracy in measurements and dimensioning
  • Experience working with precast concrete or similar construction materials is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple drawings and revisions
  • Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration with internal teams
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain productivity in a remote environment
  • Familiarity with file management systems, naming conventions, and version control
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to ask clarifying questions when needed
  • Stable internet connection and a reliable remote workstation setup

Note: An NBI or police clearance will be required upon acceptance of the job offer.
