CAD Data Administrator

Position Type: Part Time

Location: Philippines (Remote)

Schedule: 20 hours per week (part-time), requiring at least 1 hour of overlap with CST working hours

Our client is a specialized engineering and design firm based in the United States, committed to delivering precise, high-quality solutions across industries. With deep expertise in CAD design and data management, they partner with clients to streamline product development processes and ensure the integrity of design data.

About the Role

As a CAD Data Administrator, your role is primarily aimed at addressing a backlog of approximately 50,000 Autodesk Inventor files, ensuring all files are properly organized, up-to-date, and ready for our data management system.

Responsibilities

  • Review, organize, and prepare Autodesk Inventor files (3D models, drawings, and manufacturing files) for integration into our data management system.
  • Ensure files are at the correct revision and state for proper version control.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and administrative teams to clarify file requirements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain daily communication for updates and clarifications, ensuring smooth project progress.
  • Contribute to data accuracy, revision control, and overall efficiency in file management.

Competencies and Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 23 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within the engineering or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.
  • Experience with Autodesk Vault Basic (revision control and file management).
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Ability to manage high-volume file workflows with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with general administrative tasks related to file management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Autodesk Vault Pro.
  • Experience with any Product Data Management (PDM) software.
  • Knowledge of revision and change control procedures.
