Position: CAD CAM Mechanical Engineering Technician

Job Responsibilities
- Create CNC cutting programs using CAD/CAM software.
- Troubleshoot programming issues raised by production.
- Keep program & cutting list current.
- Continuous improvement: Improve programming process & get regular feedback from the production team to improve programming efficiency and the work results.
- Propose design changes based on manufacturing capabilities.
- Support engineering/methods teams with technical input on manufacturability.
- Coordinate with engineering, methods & production teams.
- Update, improve & revise products based on engineering changes.
- Execute 3D modeling and 2D drawings.
- Prepare fabrication drawings for our workshop.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Describe the qualifications the staff must have in terms of skills and capabilities
- BS Mechanical Engineering or mechanical background.
- Master the CAD/CAM software parameters.
- Laser cutting computer assistance manufacturing (CAM) experience.
- 3D Modeling / 2D Drawing.
- Relevant experience in SolidWorks.
- Microsoft Office.
- Press bending experience (an asset).
- Autocad (an asset).
- The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing process, and mechanical experience related to steel and aluminum.
