CAAS-OA Senior Associate

Location: Cebu or Manila, Philippines
Work Arrangement: Onsite, Full-time
Shift: Monday - Friday | 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM PHT

We are seeking a leadership-minded CAAS-OA Senior Associate (Client Advisory & Accounting Services - Outsourced Accounting) to manage, execute, and review client accounting engagements for US public practice portfolios. You will oversee month-end close procedures, prepare complex financial reporting packages, supervise staff associates, and maintain strict compliance with GAAP accounting standards.

Your Impact

  • Engagement Execution & Quality Assurance: Coordinate client engagements from planning and time/expense budgeting to execution-reviewing workpapers, financial statements, fixed asset/depreciation schedules, and adequacy of disclosures.
  • Team Supervision & Staff Mentorship: Assess associate capabilities, delegate tasks effectively, review work deliverables, and provide timely, actionable feedback and performance evaluations to teach and coach junior staff.
  • Client Relationship & Communication: Serve as a key operational liaison for US clients, leading engagement meetings, maintaining a thorough understanding of client business objectives, and keeping Managers informed of critical developments.
  • Practice Efficiency & Metric Management: Track engagement metrics (e.g., net bill rate, productivity ratios) and leverage cloud-based accounting systems to drive process improvements and reporting accuracy.

What You Bring

  • Education & Credentials: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting; CPA license or CPA eligibility is strongly preferred.
  • The Experience:3 to 5 years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience within US public practice or commercial accounting, demonstrating increasing scope, complexity, and team delegation.
  • Technical & System Mastery: Deep knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); high proficiency in cloud accounting software including QuickBooks Online (QBO) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Core Competencies: Strong leadership and supervisory capacity, excellent project management and time budgeting skills, high technical accuracy, and superior written and verbal English communication.
