Role Description The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, selecting, and purchasing merchandise for Isetann's department store, supermarket, and mall operations. This full-time on-site role, based in Metro Manila, involves monitoring market trends, analyzing sales data, and identifying products that align with customer preferences and business goals. Day-to-day tasks include negotiating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, tracking inventory levels, and collaborating with store and merchandising teams to ensure optimal product assortment and pricing. The Buyer also evaluates vendor performance, coordinates delivery schedules, and supports promotional activities to maximize sales and profitability.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in purchasing, merchandising, and inventory monitoring, with the ability to balance stock levels and product variety.
- Ability to analyze sales reports, market trends, and customer behavior to support data-informed buying decisions.
- Effective negotiation and vendor management skills to secure favorable pricing, terms, and product quality.
- Solid organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills to handle multiple product lines and deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across store operations, merchandising, and management teams.
- Prior experience in retail buying or merchandising, preferably in department store or supermarket environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
