Job Description

Role purpose:

As a Buyer, managing Indirect Procurement in a global cybersecurity organisation, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies across a range of indirect spend categories, including HR, Legal, Finance, Consulting, Marketing, Facilities, and Corporate Services. Your role is critical in ensuring value-driven sourcing while supporting business functions with cost-effective, compliant, and agile supplier solutions.

You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across departments to understand business needs, lead supplier negotiations, manage contracts, and drive performance improvements. Operating in a highly regulated and security-conscious environment, you will also ensure that all procurement activities align with internal policies, risk management standards, and global compliance requirements.

This position requires strong commercial acumen, supplier relationship management expertise, and the ability to navigate complex global sourcing scenarios. You will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring service quality, and contributing to the organisation's broader strategic and financial goals.

Key accountabilities/Responsibilities

Procurement Execution:

Support sourcing activities for indirect categories such as HR services, Marketing, Legal counsel, Finance-related services, Consulting, Facilities, and Travel.

Plan and manage sourcing events (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) using an eSourcing platform (experience using Coupa, SAP Ariba, Jaggaer, or similar is preferred but not essential).

Perform supplier analysis and contribute to recommendation and selection decisions using objective, data-driven criteria.

Global Stakeholder Engagement:

Partner with global and regional stakeholders across HR, Legal, Finance, and Corporate Services to understand business needs and deliver value through sourcing initiatives.

Serve as a procurement point of contact, supporting stakeholder education and alignment on procurement policy, process, strategy and goals.

Supplier Management:

Identify and assess potential suppliers and support onboarding activities in collaboration with the global P2P team.

Monitor and track supplier performance, and assist in addressing quality, delivery, or compliance issues.

Maintain supplier records and documentation in accordance with internal controls and procurement systems.

Contract Support:

Support contract negotiation and administration, focusing on pricing, commercial terms, service levels, and renewals.

Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and the global P2P team to ensure contracts are properly executed, catalogued, and compliant with internal policies.

Use ePlatforms to manage contract lifecycles and renewals.

Cost and Risk Optimisation:

Support cost-saving initiatives through competitive sourcing, demand management, and market analysis.

Contribute to risk assessments during supplier selection and help implement mitigation measures as needed.

Stay informed on market trends and regulatory changes affecting assigned categories, communicating these effectively to the business as the subject matter expert for external markets.

Operating in Ambiguity:

Demonstrate flexibility and initiative when working with stakeholders in situations where requirements are not fully defined.

Proactively seek clarification and contribute to building structure and clarity in evolving sourcing projects.

P2P Process Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with the global Procure-to-Pay (P2P) team to ensure seamless end-to-end procurement processes from supplier onboarding through to invoice and payment.

Help resolve purchase order, invoice, and payment-related issues by acting as a liaison between stakeholders, suppliers, and the P2P function.

Ensure procurement activities support process efficiency, data accuracy, and system compliance across global operations.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure all procurement activities follow internal policy,cybersecurity standards, and applicable legal/regulatory requirements.

Maintain audit-ready documentation and support reporting and compliance reviews.

Use eSourcing and procurement platforms to generate reports on spend, supplier performance, and sourcing outcomes.

Tools and Systems:

Operate within eSourcing and ERP/procurement platforms (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Jaggaer) to manage sourcing events, supplier data, contracts, and purchase orders.

Contribute to continuous improvement of digital tools and procurement processes in collaboration with Procurement Operations and P2P.

Functional and technical skills:

Previous experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, ideally in a shared services or multinational environment.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, ISM) advantageous but not essential

Excellent analytical and reporting skills.

Familiarity with contract review, supplier onboarding, and basic financial or commercial terms.

Understanding of procurement compliance, supplier risk, and ethical sourcing practices.

Experience using eSourcing tools and ERP systems preferred, but not essential.

Experience in working a global matrix organisations, with exposure to multi-jurisdictional procurement operations, cross-border contracting, and localisation of sourcing strategies.

Familiarity with cybersecurity, information security in supplier onboarding and contract negotiation desirable but not essential.

Prior exposure to global procurement operations or working with international stakeholders is preferred.
