Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with sales/marketing teams to identify opportunities across public works, contractors, and municipalities.
- Drive pricing, contracts, and bids to capture margins while meeting demand.
- Own P&L: monitor revenue, cost of goods sold, and margin performance.
- Conduct financial forecasting and scenario planning.
- Review margins across different customer segments or regions.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors and public agencies.
- Respond to pricing inquiries and contract negotiations to secure repeat business.
- Prepare and maintain sales forecasts and backlog reports to inform production planning.
- Identify and pursue new markets, partnership opportunities, or product lines.
- Align throughput planning, quality, and dispatch with commercial commitments to avoid supply gaps or missed orders.
- Oversee operations of batching plant facilities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with standards.
- Monitor plant performance, optimize resources, and implement continuous improvements to achieve revenue and sales targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related course.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within the petroleum, bitumen, asphalt, or construction materials industry.
- Strong technical understanding of bitumen and other petroleum-based products.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify, pursue, and close high-value deals.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Must have a valid driver's license (owning a vehicle is preferred).
- Willing to travel nationwide for client meetings, fieldwork, and site visits.
