Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with sales/marketing teams to identify opportunities across public works, contractors, and municipalities.
  • Drive pricing, contracts, and bids to capture margins while meeting demand.
  • Own P&L: monitor revenue, cost of goods sold, and margin performance.
  • Conduct financial forecasting and scenario planning.
  • Review margins across different customer segments or regions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors and public agencies.
  • Respond to pricing inquiries and contract negotiations to secure repeat business.
  • Prepare and maintain sales forecasts and backlog reports to inform production planning.
  • Identify and pursue new markets, partnership opportunities, or product lines.
  • Align throughput planning, quality, and dispatch with commercial commitments to avoid supply gaps or missed orders.
  • Oversee operations of batching plant facilities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with standards.
  • Monitor plant performance, optimize resources, and implement continuous improvements to achieve revenue and sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related course.
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within the petroleum, bitumen, asphalt, or construction materials industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of bitumen and other petroleum-based products.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify, pursue, and close high-value deals.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Must have a valid driver's license (owning a vehicle is preferred).
  • Willing to travel nationwide for client meetings, fieldwork, and site visits.
