Job Description

The Business Unit Head is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring operational efficiency, business growth, and profitability. The role will develop and execute strategies to expand the distribution network by establishing strategic partnerships and enhancing supply chain efficiencies. The BU Head will drive cost-effective procurement processes while ensuring high-quality standards and timely delivery of products.

Business Operations & Strategy Execution

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's daily operations, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive operational efficiency and maximize profitability.
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational excellence.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance supply chain management, inventory control, and order fulfillment.

Distribution Network Growth & Strategic Partnerships

  • Develop and expand the distribution network by building strong relationships with solar equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors.
  • Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships that enhance market reach and competitiveness.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends in the solar equipment sector.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective sales support, service quality, and product availability.

Procurement & Supply Chain Management

  • Lead the procurement function, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of solar equipment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Develop and implement best practices in supply chain management to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Work closely with NetSolar to optimize procurement strategies and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee supplier performance.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Develop annual budgets, financial plans, and business forecasts in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to business operations.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for employees, providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Promote a strong customer-centric approach within the organization.

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY

  • Oversee P&L and Operational Expense of the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in general management, procurement, or distribution, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
  • Strong experience in supply chain optimization, procurement management, and business development.
  • Proven track record in growing distribution networks and establishing strategic partnerships.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
