Salt Talent Search is looking for a Consumer Credit/Debit Card Business Performance Management Manager for a 9 months contract role.
This is a hands‑on, client‑embedded role supporting an issuer's consumer credit/debit card portfolio. The resource will work with the issuer's cards team to track portfolio performance, measure initiatives, identify improvement opportunities, and support execution of card launches and campaigns. The role is execution‑focused and analytical, acting as an extension of the issuer's card business team.
What Would you do:
- Own ongoing tracking of the consumer credit/debit card portfolio, including acquisition, activation, spend, revolver behaviour, attrition, and profitability.
- Produce regular performance reports, dashboards, and insights for issuer stakeholders and internal teams.
- Support preparation of business reviews and performance readouts, translating data into clear, actionable insights.
- Initiative Tracking & Impact Measurement
- Drive quarterly cards performance reviews for the issuer's portfolio and provide insights on how they can perform at par and/or better than the market. Collaborate with teams to present insights and craft supporting narratives.
- Provide hands‑on support for day‑to‑day card business problem solving, including identifying performance issues and improvement opportunities.
- Be the liaison person between issuer and scheme on topics such mandates & bulletins, platform access and other enquiries
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in consumer credit/debit cards, retail banking, or payments, with exposure to portfolio performance management or analytics
- Strong understanding of consumer credit/debit card performance drivers and portfolio economics
- Experience with working with credit/debit cards PnL, producing performance reports, dashboards, and business reviews for senior stakeholders
- A practical, execution-focused professional who adapts easily to client settings and collaborates effectively with individuals at all levels of seniority.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights
- Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
