Job Description

  • Provide strategic leadership in shaping the commercial agenda, setting clear direction for channel growth, category expansion, and longrange business priorities.
  • Spearhead channel development strategies that strengthen market presence, drive channel-specific profitability, and elevate execution standards across priority customer segments.
  • Steer category vision and roadmap by leveraging deep shopper, consumer, and market insights to guide portfolio strategy, assortment priorities, and customer engagement plans.
  • Influence and align senior stakeholders, ensuring crossfunctional teams and external partners are fully committed to the commercial and channel development agenda.
  • Oversee commercial performance management, including forecasting, investment optimization, and business planning across all channels, with a focus on maximizing ROI and strategic impact.
  • Drive a culture of commercial excellence, equipping sales and field teams with advanced tools, capability programs, and data-driven insights that enhance selling effectiveness and inmarket execution.
  • Monitor channel health and competitive dynamics, anticipating shifts in customer behavior, category trends, and trade priorities to proactively recalibrate strategies.
  • Lead strategic negotiations and joint planning with key partners to unlock growth, secure commercial commitments, and elevate partnership maturity.
  • Govern the development of channel activation frameworks, ensuring alignment of trade initiatives, promotional programs, and shopper marketing activity with broader business objectives.
  • Champion high-quality business reviews, guiding the preparation of senior-level performance reports, strategic insights, and recommendations that support critical decisions and future planning.

The Successful Applicant


  • Senior-level experience in commercial, channel development, trade marketing, category development, or related roles within FMCG.
  • Strong strategic and analytical capability, with the ability to translate insights into commercially sound actions.
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional stakeholders and influencing at senior levels.
  • Highly adaptable, self-driven, and effective in complex, fast-paced business environments.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
