The BI Engineer will transform complex business data into actionable insights by developing, managing, and optimizing reports, dashboards, and BI solutions. This role is critical in enabling data-driven decisions and empowering business users with self-service analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and design requirements for BI solutions, extracting necessary data from multiple sources.
- Manage and maintain BI platforms and tools, including user access, security protocols, and system performance.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support strategic business decisions.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations to clearly communicate data insights to business users.
- Interpret and present analysis results in a clear, actionable manner to business stakeholders.
- Provide training and ongoing support to business users for effective adoption of BI tools and reports.
Required Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience developing BI solutions using Power BI.
- At least 3 years of experience in data warehousing and data modeling, including normalization and denormalization.
- Strong experience in ETL processes, using tools such as SSIS, Data Factory, or Microsoft Fabric.
- Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and strong technical knowledge of databases.
- Knowledge of additional data analysis languages, such as DAX, KQL, or equivalents.
