Role Overview

The Senior Power BI Developer is responsible for designing and delivering advanced business intelligence solutions that transform complex data into meaningful insights. The role develops scalable dashboards, builds robust data models, and supports the organisation's data-driven decision-making processes

Working closely with stakeholders across departments, the Senior Power BI Developer translates business requirements into technical solutions, integrates multiple data sources, and ensures reporting frameworks are efficient, accurate, and scalable

Key Responsibilities

Business Intelligence Development

• Design and develop advanced Power BI dashboards and interactive reports
• Deliver reporting solutions that support operational and strategic decision-making
• Develop scalable reporting frameworks used across departments

Data Modelling and Architecture

• Build complex data models and relationships within PowerBI
• Optimise data structures to improve dashboard performance
• Design semantic models and reusable reporting data assets

Data Integration and Automation

• Integrate Power BI with multiple data sources including ERP, CRM, APIs, and databases
• Automate reporting workflows and scheduled data refresh pipelines
• Improve reporting efficiency through automation and optimisation

Business Analysis and Insights

• Translate business requirements into data-driven insights
• Identify trends and performance indicators to support leadership decisions
• Develop executive dashboards and KPI frameworks

Collaboration and Leadership

• Work with business leaders and stakeholders to define reporting requirements
• Mentor junior analysts and review dashboard quality
• Establish best practices for BI development and reporting governance

Requirements Experience

• e5–8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Visualization roles

Technical Skills

• Advanced experience with Microsoft PowerBI
• Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query
• Advanced SQL skills for querying and data transformation
• Experience building complex data models and dashboard architectures

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Ability to translate complex data into business insights
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
• Experience working in remote or distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, or similar)
• Knowledge of ETL pipelines and data engineering concepts
• Experience integrating APIs and enterprise data sources
• Exposure to Python or R for data analysis
• BOT/AI Agent Experience
