Role Overview
eClerx is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Business Insights Manager responsible for strengthening the organization's business intelligence, reporting capabilities, and performance analytics. The role will provide actionable insights that support pricing strategies, profitability analysis, operational productivity, and overall business performance.
The Business Insights Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to deliver data-driven insights, develop analytical tools, and support strategic decision-making that drives profitable growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy & Analysis
- Review pricing structures and cost models to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Monitor pricing trends, price realization, and potential price erosion across products or services.
- Support annual pricing initiatives by providing customer profitability analysis and cost-to-serve insights.
- Develop and enhance pricing tools and costing models to support efficient quoting and pricing governance.
- Provide analytical support for pricing governance and strategic pricing initiatives.
Profitability & Business Performance Analysis
- Conduct customer, product, and portfolio profitability analysis to support business strategy.
- Prepare reports on customer acquisition, win/loss analysis, churn performance, and key business KPIs.
- Provide revenue and margin analysis across market segments, sectors, and service lines.
- Support business case preparation and financial analysis for new product or service launches.
- Evaluate performance and profitability impact of new initiatives.
Productivity, Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Develop, automate, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to support leadership decision-making.
- Deliver accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly business performance reports.
- Manage reporting processes including data validation, report automation, and dashboard optimization.
- Analyze business data and generate actionable insights to improve productivity and operational performance.
- Support reporting requests across departments and ensure consistent governance of information requests.
Strategic Planning & Insights
- Lead the development of business intelligence and reporting frameworks across the organization.
- Support leadership with strategic insights that drive growth, profitability, and operational improvements.
- Develop analytical models that enable faster interpretation of business performance.
- Improve data integrity and reporting consistency across multiple systems and data sources.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align business insights with organizational objectives.
- Provide analytical support for tenders, proposals, and strategic business initiatives.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and training on business insights tools and reporting platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business analytics, financial analysis, or business intelligence roles.
- Experience supporting sales operations, commercial analytics, or business performance reporting.
- Strong understanding of pricing strategy, profitability analysis, and business performance metrics.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data modeling.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, or similar).
- Knowledge of SQL, data automation, or scripting tools is an advantage.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting automation, and dashboard development.
