JOB OVERVIEW
The Business Enablement Lead acts as a strategic partner, thought leader, and force multiplier to the CEO. This role is responsible for driving execution on the CEO's priorities, aligning cross-functional leaders, and ensuring disciplined follow-through on strategic initiatives across the organization.
In a fast-scaling digital life insurance business, the person will operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, governance, and communications, helping translate vision into execution while navigating regulatory, commercial, and operational complexity.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Partner closely with the CEO to shape, prioritize, and execute the company's strategic agenda.
- Drive CEO-sponsored initiatives from concept to delivery, ensuring clear ownership, timelines, and outcomes.
- Prepare strategic analyses, business cases, and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
Executive & Cross-Functional Alignment:
- Act as a connective tissue between the CEO and senior leadership team, ensuring alignment across product, tech, insurance operations, marketing, Growth, Finance as well as Legal, Risk & Compliance.
- Facilitate executive meetings, offsites, and board sessions, including agenda setting, materials preparation, and follow-ups.
- Track key strategic and operational metrics, ensuring accountability and progress against goals.
Business Operations & Governance:
- Support the CEO in managing relationships with the Board, shareholders, regulators, and key external partners.
- Ensure effective governance rhythms, including OKRs, KPIs, and quarterly business reviews.
- Help strengthen operating cadence and decision-making processes across the organization.
Special Projects & Problem Solving:
- Lead high-impact, cross-functional projects (e.g. new market initiatives, partnerships, operational improvements, regulatory readiness).
- Act as a problem-solver on ambiguous or sensitive issues requiring discretion and sound judgment.
Communications & CEO Enablement:
- Support internal and external communications on behalf of the CEO, including key messages, presentations, and written communications.
- Act as a trusted sounding board to the CEO, providing candid feedback and perspective.
- Optimize the CEO's time and focus by filtering, structuring, and prioritizing information and decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree
- 8–12+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, fintech/insurtech, startups, or high-growth technology companies.
- Strong understanding of financial services, insurance, or regulated industries (life insurance experience is a strong advantage).
- Proven experience working with senior executives, founders, or boards.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and structured thinking skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate comfortably across strategy and execution, with high attention to detail.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
