As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you are the hunter of our sales organization. Your primary mission is to identify, research, and connect with potential new customers to build a healthy pipeline for our sales team. You will act as the first point of contact for our company, turning cold leads into qualified opportunities.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Use research tools, social media (LinkedIn), and industry databases to find companies that fit our ideal customer profile.
- Outbound Outreach: Initiate contact with potential clients through a high volume of cold calls, personalized emails, and social selling.
- Lead Qualification: Conduct discovery conversations to understand a prospect's challenges, budget, and timeline (using frameworks like BANT) to ensure they are a good fit before passing them to the sales team.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings and product demonstrations between qualified prospects and our Account Executives (AEs).
- CRM Management: Maintain clean and accurate records of all interactions and lead statuses in our CRM (e.g., Salesforce or HubSpot).
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to align on messaging and ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads.
