Job description:
We are hiring a Business Development Representative to drive lead generation and pipeline growth as we internalize our business development function. This role will focus on proactive prospecting and qualifying opportunities, while supporting small deal closures and partnering closely with sales to convert leads into revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Build and execute proactive lead generation strategies through outbound prospecting, networking, and market research
- Identify, qualify, and develop high-quality opportunities aligned with target enterprise clients (banking and fintech)
- Manage the full cycle for smaller, less complex deals, from outreach through to closing
- Handover qualified opportunities to the sales team and support them throughout the deal lifecycle
- Maintain a strong pipeline by consistently tracking, nurturing, and progressing leads
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth transition from lead to sales execution
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, with at least 2–3 years in lead generation/prospecting roles
- Proven ability to generate and qualify leads in a B2B environment
- Experience closing simple or smaller-scale deals is an advantage
- Background in banking, fintech, or technology industries is preferred
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and hunter mindset with high initiative
