As part of our continued global expansion, we are looking for a BDR Team Lead to join our remote-first commercial team and play a key role in building a predictable, high-quality pipeline.
About the Role

You will split your time between leading the team and personally generating pipeline - showing the BDRs exactly what great looks like.
As a BDR Team Lead, you will be responsible for creating qualified opportunities while coaching and supporting our growing Business Development team. You'll collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teams to refine outbound strategy, improve messaging, and build a motivated, high-performance culture.

Responsibilities
Lead by Example (PlayerCoach)
- Carry an individual quota and consistently generate high-quality opportunities for Account Executives.
- Demonstrate what outstanding outreach looks like across a smart combination of phone calls, email sequences, and LinkedIn engagement.
- Confidently navigate complex life science organizations and engage decision-makers (Quality Directors, QA/RA Managers, VPs of Quality, etc.).
Pipeline Generation
- Execute outbound outreach to target accounts and follow up with inbound leads.
- Prioritize outreach based on intent signals, including job changes, funding events, company updates, website visits, and engagement indicators.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the SimplerQMS value proposition and communicate it clearly.
Team Leadership
- Act as the first point of contact for the BDR team for daily support and alignment.
- Run daily stand-ups, call reviews, KPI check-ins, and pipeline evaluations.
- Provide structured coaching to improve messaging, objection handling, and conversion rates.
Onboarding & Training
- Onboard new BDRs and ensure fast ramp-up times.
- Develop scripts, messaging frameworks, sequences, and qualification playbooks.
- Mentor and support BDRs in their growth and development.
Strategy & Optimization
- Test and refine outbound messaging, sequences, and ICP targeting.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize reply rates, meeting booking rates, and overall team performance.
- Share prospect feedback, objections, and patterns with Sales and Marketing to enhance overall GTM alignment.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of top-performing SDR/BDR experience in B2B SaaS, backed by strong numbers.
- Expertise using CRM and sales tools (Pipedrive, Hubspot, Apollo, or equivalent).
- Strong experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Familiarity with using intent signals (funding, job changes, account updates, website engagement, product tour completions etc.) to prioritize outreach.
- Excellent communication skills, both for prospecting and for coaching peers.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze KPIs and identify improvement areas.
- Demonstrated leadership potential - either through formal team lead experience or informal mentoring.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort working in a remote environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with intent platforms such as 6sense, Snitcher, or Apollo.
- Experience selling into regulated or life science industries.
- Experience designing or improving outbound sequences and sales playbooks.
