Job Description
The Business Development will manage end-to-end implementation of new payment solutions for ShopeePay, including ideation, partner selection (if needed), launch & day-to-day management. To identify, negotiate, and integrate payment channels and partners (e.g., direct debit, over-the-counter) to enhance ShopeePay's payment capability
Duties & Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate prospective partners to expand ShopeePay's payments network & infrastructure
- Lead the end-to-end onboarding process
- Collaborate across Legal, Product, Tech, Compliance, and Risk to ensure successful and compliant integration
- Manage long-term relationships post-launch, acting as key account manager for assigned partners
- Monitor and optimize channel performance while identifying new areas for growth, work with marketing team to grow product
- Respond to partner feature requests by assessing technical feasibility, aligning internal stakeholders, and delivering timely solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or any related field
- At least 2 years of business development experience in the FinTech, banking or payments industry
- In-depth knowledge of the Philippine payments ecosystem, including regulatory frameworks (BSP regulations), payment methods (e.g., InstaPay, PESONet, QRPH), consumer behavior, and emerging trends
- Experience with end-to-end payment-related projects, working with cross-functional teams and external partner management
- Demonstrated track record of getting things done in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English. Able to communicate complex business or technical information effectively
- Good analytical and logical thinking skills
- Amenable to work on-site in Ortigas, Mandaluyong City
