Job Description

The Business Development Officer evaluates existing retail operations and B2B sales frameworks to pinpoint operational efficiencies and unlock new avenues for revenue growth and profitability. He/she will sit at the intersection of strategic market expansion, corporate account acquisition, and daily operational efficiency—responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities across retail, digital, and corporate channels while ensuring that brick-and-mortar and multi-channel operations execute brand visions perfectly and maximize profitability.

Corporate Business Partnership and Engagement

  • Corporate & Institutional Sales: Identify and secure B2B opportunities, including corporate accounts, institutional clients, bulk gifting, and customized merchandise partnerships using Primer's brand portfolio.
  • B2B Pipeline Management: Build and manage a robust pipeline of corporate clients, handling the entire sales cycle from initial prospecting and pitching to contract negotiation and account maintenance.
  • Customized Solutions: Collaborate with brand managers to develop tailored product packages and volume pricing tiers that meet the specific needs of corporate buyers.

Business Development & Strategic Expansion

  • Market Analysis & Expansion: Identify, evaluate, and secure high-potential locations for new concept and standalone stores across key malls and commercial hubs in the Philippines and regional markets.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Network with mall developers, landlords, and commercial partners to negotiate leases, renewals, and commercial terms aligned with corporate profitability metrics.
  • New Concept Launching: Lead the operational blueprint and rollout of new retail concepts, ensuring seamless translation from creative brief to functional storefront.

Retail Operations Excellence

  • Sales & P&L Optimization: Monitor sales targets, analyze store-level P&L statements, and implement data-driven operational strategies to reduce shrinkage, manage overhead, and boost conversion rates.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as the bridge between store operations, merchandising, logistics, and visual merchandising to ensure optimal stock levels and uniform brand execution.
  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure all retail outlets maintain strict compliance with corporate policies, local government regulations, and mall-partner requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing.
  • Proven track record in sales operations, B2B sales, corporate accounts management, or institutional distribution, preferably within the retail, apparel, or consumer goods sectors.
  • Critical thinking skills, highly analytical and organized, creatively-minded, good at thinking outside the box.
  • Must be willing to do field work as necessary.

Work Arrangement

  • Semi-flexible full onsite schedule in Malate, Manila.
