Business Development Officer (Microinsurance)
About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven Business Development Officer (Microinsurance) to help expand our microinsurance distribution network across the Philippines. In this role, you will identify, build, and manage strategic partnerships with financial institutions and distribution channels that serve underserved communities.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and acquire new distribution partners such as:
- Rural Banks
- Microfinance Institutions (MFIs)
- Cooperatives
- Pawnshops
- Digital Lending Companies
- Remittance Centers
- Other financial service providers
- Conduct market research, opportunity mapping, and partner assessments.
- Perform due diligence, including financial, operational, and regulatory evaluations of prospective partners.
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiate partnership agreements, revenue-sharing models, and service level agreements.
- Manage the end-to-end partner onboarding process, including documentation, training, systems integration, and pilot launches.
- Collaborate with Product, Underwriting, Legal, Operations, IT, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Monitor partner performance, analyze KPIs, and recommend strategies to improve business growth.
- Prepare business proposals, presentations, pipeline reports, forecasts, and management updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 2-4 years of experience in:
- Financial Services
- Insurance
- Microfinance
- Banking
- Institutional Sales
- Business Development
- Partnership Management
- Proven experience in developing and closing B2B or institutional partnerships.
- Experience working with Rural Banks, MFIs, Cooperatives, Remittance Companies, or similar organizations is highly preferred.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of microinsurance products and the Philippine financial services industry is an advantage.
- Willing to travel for client meetings, partner visits, and field activities.
