Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

The Business Development Officer drives growth by identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and expanding market presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales mindset, excellent communication skills, and a strategic approach to business expansion.

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

Conduct market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities

Generate qualified lead through various channels (cold calling, networking, referrals, digital platforms)

Attend industry events, expos, and trade shows for client engagement

2. Sales & Client Acquisition

Convert leads into paying clients through solution-based selling

Prepare and deliver tailored business proposals and presentations

Maintain a monthly sales target based on KPI targets

3. Client Relationship Management

Build long-term relationships with key clients for repeat business and referrals

Conduct quarterly client satisfaction surveys and resolve issues proactively

Ensure client retention for acquired accounts

4. Reporting & Strategy

Track and report KPIs weekly/monthly using CRM tools

Provide competitor insights and market trends to support strategy development

Collaborate with marketing for campaigns, promotions, and brand visibility

5. Cross-functional Coordination

Work with Operations, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure proper client onboarding

Assist in contract negotiations, documentation, and collection follow-ups

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.

Strong negotiation, persuasion, and networking skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.

Knowledge of CRM tools and sales tracking software is a plus.

Other: Willingness to travel to client sites and projects.
