The Business Development Officer directly contributes to the growth of the Institutional Wealth Division by acquiring new institutional accounts and supporting business development initiatives. The role involves prospecting for clients, preparing investment proposals, conducting product presentations, and ensuring seamless account documentation. Officers are expected to build strong relationships with internal teams, bank counterparts, and external stakeholders while promoting financial literacy and encouraging participation in BPI Wealth's trust and investment management solutions.
Responsibilities
- Finds new clients in line with target market criteria, including affiliates, related companies, and referrals
- Develops and maintains a healthy pipeline of prospects for onboarding
- Runs marketing campaigns for lead generation
- Maintains relationships with bank counterparts to ensure referrals and conduct product briefings
- Presents trust and investment management solutions to institutional clients
- Creates bespoke investment solutions based on client requirements, objectives, and risk appetites
- Explains investment landscape nuances to a wide range of investor types, including top management and decision-makers
- Prepares and accomplishes trust and investment proposals (formal bidding or self-initiated)
- Ensures completeness of account documentation and smooth account opening
- Conducts Financial Wellness Sessions to promote literacy and encourage contributions
- Handles other ad hoc deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or finance
- Preferably at least 3 years in trust administration, client relationship management, business development, sales, portfolio management, or marketing
- Thorough knowledge of trust products, rules, and regulations
- Presentation and negotiation skills
- Computer proficiency (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Basic knowledge of economics and financial markets
- Credit knowledge and skill.
