Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven
Business Development Manager to drive growth and expansion for a growing bakeshop brand. This role will focus on
identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, expanding retail presence, and increasing revenue streams. The ideal candidate has strong experience in
F&B, retail expansion, or franchise development, with a deep understanding of local market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Expansion
- Identify and develop new revenue streams including corporate accounts, bulk orders, and institutional partnerships
- Lead initiatives for store expansion, including site scouting, feasibility studies, and market analysis
- Explore opportunities for franchising or distribution channels (e.g., supermarkets, cafs, resellers)
Partnerships & Client Development
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event organizers, hotels, and retailers
- Secure bulk and repeat business such as corporate giveaways, events, and special orders
- Negotiate contracts and manage key account relationships
Market Research & Strategy
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive insights
- Develop and implement strategies to strengthen the brands market presence in Davao and nearby regions
- Recommend product or packaging innovations based on market demand
Sales & Revenue Management
- Drive sales targets and ensure achievement of growth KPIs
- Prepare sales forecasts, pipelines, and reports for management
- Monitor performance of new business initiatives and optimize as needed
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, production, marketing, and finance teams to support business growth
- Coordinate with operations to ensure fulfillment capability for large or new business accounts
- Support marketing efforts for promotions tied to partnerships and expansion
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or related field
- 37 years of experience in business development, sales, or expansion roles, preferably in F&B, retail, or hospitality
- Proven track record in closing deals and building long-term client relationships
- Strong understanding of local Davao market and business environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in bakery, caf, or food retail brands
- Background in franchise development or multi-branch expansion
- Established network in corporate, hospitality, and retail sectors in Mindanao
