We are now expanding our footprint in the Philippines and are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to lead growth across VisMin, based in Cebu or Davao.

About the Role

As Business Development Manager – VisMin, you will be responsible for owning and expanding Britannica Education's presence across the region. You will build and manage strategic relationships with educational institutions, government agencies, and our existing business partners, while driving sustainable revenue growth. This role is ideal for a self-driven, results-oriented sales leader with deep local market knowledge and a passion for education.

Key Responsibilities

This is a full-time remote role with regular travel within VisMin. You will be responsible for:

• Developing and executing a regional business development strategy to grow Britannica's footprint in Visayas and Mindanao
• Identifying, engaging, and managing B2B and B2G partnerships, including private institutions and government stakeholders
• Leading the full sales cycle: prospecting, needs analysis, solution positioning, negotiation, and deal closure
• Managing and navigating RFPs, tenders, and government procurement processes
• Building strong, long-term relationships with local education authorities, schools, universities, and learning organizations
• Collaborating closely with Marketing and Customer Success teams to execute region-specific campaigns and ensure successful implementations
• Acting as the primary market expert for Visayas and Mindanao, providing insights on customer needs, competition, and opportunities

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Partnerships within education, EdTech, or knowledge services

Proven success in B2B and B2G sales, including SaaS or digital solutions

Demonstrated experience managing channel partners and strategic accounts

Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

Deep understanding of the Visayas and Mindanao education landscape

Ability to work independently in a remote environment and travel within the region

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, Marketing, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

Fluency in English

Proficiency in Tagalog and Bisaya (strongly preferred)

Experience working with government agencies or public-sector education projects

Background in educational product promotion, digital learning platforms, or SaaS solutions
