About the Role

Makimura Ramen Corporation is seeking a highly driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead our expansion initiatives, identify growth opportunities, establish strategic partnerships, and drive overall business growth. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, entrepreneurial, and experienced in restaurant operations, franchising, site acquisition, and market expansion.

This role plays a critical part in supporting Makimura's vision of becoming one of the leading Japanese-inspired restaurant brands in the Philippines.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Growth & Expansion
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities for branch expansion and market penetration.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies for potential locations.
  • Develop and implement strategic growth plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead branch expansion projects from site identification to store opening.
Site Acquisition & Leasing
  • Source and negotiate potential store locations and commercial spaces.
  • Build and maintain relationships with landlords, brokers, mall operators, and property developers.
  • Review lease agreements and coordinate with legal and management teams during negotiations.
  • Monitor market trends and identify high-potential trade areas.
Partnership & Franchise Development
  • Establish strategic partnerships with malls, commercial centers, suppliers, and other business stakeholders.
  • Assist in franchise development initiatives, franchise prospect evaluation, and onboarding.
  • Prepare business presentations and proposals for potential partners and investors.
Sales & Revenue Development
  • Create programs and initiatives that drive sales growth across existing branches.
  • Explore corporate accounts, catering opportunities, bulk orders, and community partnerships.
  • Monitor business performance and recommend strategies to improve profitability.
Project Management
  • Coordinate with Operations, Marketing, Finance, Construction, and HR teams for expansion projects.
  • Ensure timelines, budgets, and project deliverables are achieved.
  • Prepare regular reports and business updates for management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship, Real Estate Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Business Development, Expansion, Leasing, Franchise Development, or Restaurant Operations.
  • Experience in the restaurant, retail, food service, or franchising industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
  • Willing to travel frequently for site visits and business meetings.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license and can drive is an advantage.
