Job Description

Job Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for accounting software solutions such as QuickBooks and other ERP systems. This role focuses on client acquisition, solution selling, and building long-term partnerships across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Sales

Identify and pursue new business opportunities for accounting systems and ERP solutions

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets

Conduct product presentations, demos, and client meetings

  • Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key decision-makers

Understand client business processes and recommend suitable ERP/accounting solutions

Ensure high client satisfaction and retention

  • Solution Selling

Analyze client requirements and propose tailored solutions using platforms like QuickBooks or other ERP systems

Collaborate with technical/implementation teams for customized solutions

Prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts

  • Market Research & Strategy

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments

Identify target markets and sectors for expansion

Provide insights to improve product positioning and sales strategy

  • Pipeline & Reporting

Maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecasts

Track performance against KPIs and revenue targets

Provide regular reports to management

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, IT, or related field

Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management

Experience selling accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is an advantage

Strong understanding of accounting processes and business operations
