Role Description/Responsibilities

The Business Development Managers (BDMs) will report directly to our Director, Strategic Partnerships & Training based in Australia. BDMs will build and maintain effective relationship with internal and external stakeholders to represent Luminedge in The Philippines and manage the full process from lead generation through to student enrolment. This position will be required to support Luminedge to engage in international student recruitment activities in The Philippines as directed by the Director, Strategic Partnerships & Training.

We're looking for experienced, relationship driven professionals who can:

  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with universities, colleges and education providers
  • Source and negotiate new institutional and industry collaborations
  • Drive student recruitment through strong partner networks
  • Represent Luminedge at education fairs, exhibitions and partner meetings
  • Analyse market trends and provide insights to support growth strategy
  • Work closely with recruitment, marketing, compliance and senior leadership teams in Australia
  • Prepare pipeline, performance and market reports for senior management

We are hiring two Business Development Managers: one based in Manila and one based in a major city elsewhere in the Philippines.

Highly Desirable

  • Fluent in Tagalog and English (spoken and written)
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act and the National Code of Practice
  • Proven experience in student recruitment within Australia is essential; experience across the UK, Canada, USA and other markets is an advantage but not mandatory

SELECTION CRITERIA

1. Knowledge and Expertise in International Education/Marketing

Demonstrated knowledge of marketing, international student recruitment, and/or admissions practices.

Relevant qualifications or extensive experience in education, training, or related fields.

Ability to quickly learn about courses, products, policies, and procedures.

2. Sales and Business Development Experience

Proven track record in building partnerships, generating revenue and managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.

Experience engaging international students or similar target groups.

3. Relationship Management and Stakeholder Engagement

Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with schools, universities, institutions, and other stakeholders.

Skilled in influencing and negotiating to achieve successful outcomes.

4. Analytical Skills and Results Orientation

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, including evaluating data and conducting accurate assessments.

Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets, work independently, and resolve problems using initiative and judgement.

5. Strategic Thinking, Innovation, and Market Knowledge

Ability to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies for growth.

Knowledge of relevant target markets and understanding of student recruitment pathways.

Capacity to introduce creative ideas and improve work practices.

6. Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, present confidently, and represent the organisation professionally.
