Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our sales and customer acquisition efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing/electronics environment. You will directly manage a team of 4 junior sales/marketing prospectors focused on active online prospecting (LinkedIn, email, and digital channels), drive new customer acquisition, and oversee the Account Management team to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Outbound Prospecting

  • Leads, coaches, and develops a team of 4 junior prospectors executing daily online outreach and first-contact activities.
  • Designs and optimizes outbound strategies using LinkedIn, email campaigns, and other digital tools to generate a consistent flow of qualified leads.
  • Sets, tracks, and reports on team KPIs (outreaches, meetings booked, conversion rates, pipeline velocity, etc.).

Sales & Pipeline Management

  • Oversees the full customer acquisition process from prospecting to hand-off of qualified opportunities to the quotation specialist and account managers.
  • Supports high-potential deals with sales presentations and commercial input when needed.
  • Monitors market trends, strategies, and customer feedback to refine our approach.

Account Management Oversight

  • Provides leadership and oversight to the Account Management team to ensure smooth project launch, development, and execution.
  • Collaborates with Account Managers and cross-functional groups (Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain) to meet key project milestones (quotation, sampling, validation, production, and delivery).
  • Ensures effective customer communications and timely resolution of issues for both new and existing accounts.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Works closely with the Marketing team to align content, campaigns, and materials that supports outbound efforts.
  • Continuously improves sales processes, hand-off protocols, scripts, CRM usage, and tools (including AI-assisted workflows where beneficial).

Reporting & Strategy

  • Provides regular pipeline forecasts, performance reports, and insights to the CEO.
  • Contribute to annual sales targets and overall business growth strategies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience in sales/business development, with at least 1–2 years in a team lead or people-management role (experience managing prospecting/SDR-style teams is a strong plus).
  • Proven success in outbound prospecting and digital lead generation (LinkedIn, email sequences, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing/electronics processes, supply chain, and customer needs.
  • Experience with CRM tools and sales productivity platforms.
  • Project management skills (PMP Certification is a plus).
  • Excellent English communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Data-driven with strong analytical, coaching, and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Grok, Claude, ChatGPT) for productivity is a plus.
  • Highly motivated, organized, and able to thrive with moderate supervision.
