Role Description The Business Development Manager role at genieX is a full-time position based in Metro Manila. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the retail and hospitality sectors, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure. Day-to-day work includes prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing and delivering tailored solution presentations and demos, and collaborating with consulting and technical teams to design proposals that align with client requirements. The Business Development Manager will maintain a strong pipeline, prepare forecasts and reports, and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts. The role also involves staying current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and genieX's product portfolio to effectively position solutions and contribute feedback to enhance go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, account management, or B2B sales, ideally in retail and F&B POS.
  • Strong skills in lead generation, pipeline management, consultative selling, and deal negotiation, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Ability to understand and articulate technology-driven solutions, including SaaS, cloud-based platforms, and omnichannel or supply chain systems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior decision-makers and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Experience in solution selling, including requirements discovery, business case development, proposal creation, and contract collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including market research, competitor analysis, and the capability to translate customer needs into solution opportunities.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid setup in Metro Manila, with willingness to travel to client sites within the Philippines and occasionally across Southeast Asia.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Familiar with Food and Beverage operations and language.
