Job Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth, expanding market presence, and developing strategic partnerships for the company's diagnostic products and services. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, increasing sales performance, and strengthening relationships with healthcare professionals, laboratories, hospitals, and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales Growth
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within hospitals, laboratories, clinics, and healthcare institutions.
- Drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets for diagnostic products and solutions.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to expand market share and customer base.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify growth opportunities.
2. Client & Key Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and healthcare stakeholders.
- Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and business reviews to strengthen partnerships.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through responsive support and effective account management.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and partnership agreements with clients and distributors.
3. Product & Market Development
- Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to promote diagnostic products and solutions.
- Support product launches, promotional activities, and market expansion initiatives.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support product positioning and strategy.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for clients when needed.
4. Strategic Partnerships & Networking
- Develop strategic alliances with healthcare organizations, laboratories, and industry partners.
- Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and trade exhibitions.
- Strengthen brand visibility and market presence within the diagnostics and healthcare industry.
5. Reporting & Performance Management
- Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and business performance reports.
- Monitor sales performance against targets and recommend action plans for improvement.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records in CRM systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Medical Technology, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management within the diagnostics, medical devices, or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of diagnostic products, laboratory operations, and healthcare market dynamics.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Willing to travel for client visits and business development activities.
