Our client is a regional value-added distributor specializing in reselling Confluent products and event streaming/data-in-motion solutions.
This is their Philippines first country hire, offering the opportunity to establish the business locally and shape the go-to-market strategy from the ground up. The role is remote-first, with full autonomy to build local presence, expand teams, and grow market share. You will serve as the in-country lead, representing Confluent's platform and driving adoption across enterprise clients and partners.
Job Description
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across enterprise accounts, particularly in BFSI, telecom, manufacturing, and digital-native sectors.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive prospecting, ecosystem leverage, and partner collaboration.
- Define and execute country-specific go-to-market strategies aligned with regional growth objectives.
- Manage and grow strategic accounts, ensuring renewals, expansions, and long-term adoption of solutions.
- Develop trusted relationships with business leaders (CIO, CTO, CDO) and technical stakeholders (IT Architects, Data Engineers, Middleware leads).
- Position event streaming and data-in-motion technologies as enablers of real-time business transformation (use cases include fraud detection, payments, customer 360, IoT, CDC, and microservices modernization).
- Lead discovery workshops, tailored demos, proposals, and enterprise-level negotiations.
- Collaborate with pre-sales, marketing, and customer success teams to maximize value delivery.
- Drive joint go-to-market initiatives with ecosystem partners such as cloud providers, GSIs, and SIs.
- Build and onboard capable channel partners within the local market.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience in enterprise IT solution and services sales with a proven track record of quota achievement.
- Strong background in data/streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka (Confluent or any distribution), ESB, MQ, iPaaS, databases, analytics, observability, or cloud-native streaming services.
- Familiarity with streaming-led use cases: real-time customer 360, payments & fraud detection, change data capture (CDC), microservices modernization, mainframe offload, IoT/telemetry.
- Previous experience handling regional/global accounts is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex enterprise sales cycles and close high-value deals.
- Proven track record engaging and influencing CXO-level stakeholders.
- Strong hunting and consultative selling skills, combined with long-term account management experience.
- Strategic thinker with ability to build local business playbooks and lead country-specific growth.
- Self-driven, resilient, and comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Executive presence with credibility across both business and technical audiences.
