Role Description

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to scale our network of lending partners. Your mission is to identify, negotiate with, and onboard banks and financing companies to join our credit brokerage platform. By integrating these partners into our ecosystem, you will provide them with a high-quality stream of point-of-sale (POS) loan applications, ensuring our users have access to the best possible financing options.

Responsibilities

Strategic Partner Identification & Mapping

  • Research and identify banks, digital lenders, and NBFCs whose credit appetite matches our POS traffic (e.g., personal loans, consumer durables, or SME credit).
  • Categorize potential partners by their target demographics, risk tolerance, and geographical coverage.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape to position our platform as the premier source of high-intent loan traffic.

Partnership Prioritization & Acquisition

  • Prioritize outreach to lenders that fill specific gaps in our current product offering (e.g., targeting prime vs. sub-prime lenders).
  • Manage the full sales cycle: from prospecting and initial pitch presentations to senior-level stakeholders at financial institutions.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, including success fees, revenue-share models, and integration timelines.

Institutional Onboarding & Integration

  • Lead the onboarding process by coordinating between the partner's credit/risk teams and our internal technical teams.
  • Ensure partners understand our API documentation and data flow to minimize friction to live status.
  • Facilitate the legal and compliance due diligence process required to finalize partnership agreements.

Performance Optimization

  • Monitor match rates and approval rates for onboarded lenders to ensure our traffic is meeting their ROI expectations.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with partners to identify opportunities for increasing their credit buy-box or loan volume.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 47 years in Institutional Sales, Partnership Management, or Alliances within the Fintech or Banking sector.
  • Network: An existing network of contacts within the credit, retail lending, or digital transformation departments of banks and financial institutions is highly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Lending-as-a-Service (LaaS) model, credit underwriting workflows, and POS financing.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to discuss API integrations, data security, and lead-routing logic at a high level with technical stakeholders.
  • Communication: Sophisticated negotiation skills; ability to navigate complex corporate hierarchies and close long-cycle institutional deals.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent experience is a significant advantage.
