Job Description

Help shape the future of payments in the Philippines.

At Boku, we're on a mission to connect global merchants with the world's most relevant local payment methods. Trusted by some of the world's leading digital brands, we make it easier for millions of consumers to pay the way they want.

As we continue to expand across Southeast Asia, we're looking for a Business Development Manager to lead our commercial growth in the Philippines—one of our fastest-growing and most strategic markets.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building partnerships, spotting commercial opportunities and making a real impact in a high-growth fintech business.

What you'll be doing

You'll take ownership of Boku's commercial presence in the Philippines, working with local partners and collaborating with teams across APAC and globally to drive growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and growing relationships with leading payment partners, e-wallets, banks, telecom operators and merchants across the Philippines.
  • Managing strategic partnerships, including key wallet providers, while ensuring an exceptional partner experience.
  • Supporting Boku's local acquiring licence process by working closely with regulators and helping navigate the local payments landscape.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and bringing global merchants onto Boku's local payment network across sectors including gaming, digital goods, e-commerce and financial services.
  • Working closely with Product, Compliance, Operations and Account Management teams to launch new payment solutions and expand existing partnerships.
  • Representing Boku in the local payments ecosystem by attending industry events, meeting with partners and sharing market insights.
  • Helping shape the future of our Philippines business as we continue to invest and grow in this strategic market.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who's commercially driven, relationship-focused and passionate about payments.

You'll likely bring:

  • Experience in business development, partnerships or commercial roles within payments, fintech, e-commerce, telecommunications or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of the Philippine payments ecosystem, including digital wallets, online banking and alternative payment methods.
  • Experience working with payment providers, merchants, PSPs or telecom operators.
  • Existing relationships with organisations such as GCash, Maya, GrabPay, ShopeePay, banks or telecom operators would be a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently while collaborating across global teams.
  • Fluency in English; Tagalog is an advantage.

Why join Boku

At Boku, you'll join a global fintech that's transforming how people pay around the world.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Make a real impact in one of Boku's highest-growth markets.
  • Work with some of the world's biggest digital merchants and leading local payment providers.
  • Own strategic partnerships and influence the future of payments in the Philippines.
  • Be part of a company that values ownership, collaboration and innovation.

If you're ready to help shape the next chapter of digital payments in the Philippines, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now and join us at Boku.
