The Business Development Associate is responsible for identifying new market opportunities, nurturing client and partner relationships, and driving revenue growth through targeted outreach and strategic partnerships. This role focuses on prospecting, lead generation, and building strong external relationships that support the organization's expansion objectives. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft tailored solutions that meet client needs and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and research potential business opportunities through market analysis, networking events, and digital channels. Develop and maintain a robust sales funnel of prospective clients.
- Customer Relationship Management: Initiate and nurture relationships with new and existing customers to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions. Act as a point of contact to ensure seamless communication and long-term client satisfaction.
- Partner Relationship Management: Identify, establish, and maintain partnerships with industry players and complementary service providers to expand market reach. Coordinate joint marketing and promotional initiatives with partners.
- End-to-End Sales: Manage the entire sales cycle, including Sales Calls, Proposal Development, Solutioning, Negotiations, Invoicing, Collections, and Post-Sales Support.
- Market Research & Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to inform strategy and identify opportunities for innovation. Provide regular reports and insights to support decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, customer service, or a client-facing role.
- Familiarity with or a strong willingness to learn the full sales cycle. Basic understanding of market research techniques and digital prospecting (e.g., LinkedIn, business directories).
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; capable of confidently conducting cold outreach, building rapport, and presenting proposals to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong empathy, active listening skills, and a customer-centric mindset to nurture both client and partner relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace, presentation, and design tools for creating proposals, reports, and presentations.
- Ability to gather basic market data, interpret competitor activities, and synthesize information into actionable insights and regular reports.
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the resilience needed for lead generation. Strong organizational and time-management skills to juggle multiple leads and administrative tasks simultaneously.
