About the role
We are looking for a driven and resourceful Business Development Associate to work directly with our founders. You will play a key role in building Lima's sales engine from the ground up - identifying the right prospects, crafting outreach materials, and ensuring a smooth handoff from first contact to signed contract. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and wants to grow alongside a founding team.
What you'll do
Pipeline & community building
- Support founders in building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline with industry professionals, partners, and decision-makers across the U.S.
- Engage with U.S. startup communities, accelerators, and industry events to expand Lima's network and surface new business opportunities.
- Research and qualify prospective clients; maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM.
Outreach & sales materials
- Prepare and refine sales collateral including pitch decks, one-pagers, email sequences, and proposal templates tailored to Lima's target client profiles.
- Execute personalized outreach campaigns via email and LinkedIn. Write clear, concise, and compelling messages that reflect Lima's voice and values.
- Manage follow-up cadences diligently - tracking responses, scheduling calls, and keeping prospects warm through the sales cycle.
Client support & contracts
- Assist founders in responding to prospective client questions during the sales stage: drafting replies, preparing FAQs, and ensuring timely, professional communication.
- Support contract management throughout the sales process, coordinating redlines, tracking signature status, and maintaining version-controlled contract records.
- Facilitate a seamless handoff from sales to the operations team once a deal is closed. Creating clear summaries, briefing documents, and transition checklists.
What we're looking for
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a client-facing role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to tailor tone and messaging for different audiences.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple prospects, follow-ups, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with task management tools and outreach platforms (e.g. Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
- Self-starter who is comfortable working with ambiguity and taking ownership in an early-stage environment.
- A hardworking individual with a problem-solving mindset: someone who spots obstacles early, thinks on their feet, and takes proactive initiative across a wide range of tasks without waiting to be asked.
- Genuine interest in immigration, skilled talent mobility, or the broader startup ecosystem.
