Position Summary
The Retail Sales – Bancassurance role is responsible for driving insurance sales performance across an assigned area of the bank's Branch Stores Channel by achieving GPW targets, improving renewal ratios, and strengthening portfolio diversification. The position actively manages relationships and builds strong rapport with Business Managers, Sales Assistants, Relationship Managers, and other key bank personnel to ensure seamless execution of bancassurance strategies and frontline engagement. The role oversees branch activation, platform usage, and pipeline generation while delivering consistent sales support and account management for assigned branches.
This position ensures operational excellence through full compliance, audit readiness, governance adherence, and timely reporting. It also supports long‑term sustainability by promoting continuous learning, capability building, and technical and soft-skills development across bank partners. Through data‑driven decision-making, strategic execution, and strong collaboration, the role contributes to the sustained growth, productivity, and overall success of the bancassurance business within the retail channel.

Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or any related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in insurance sales, bancassurance, or financial services is an advantage; new graduates with strong potential are welcome to apply.
- Familiarity with general insurance products and basic understanding of bancassurance operations.
- Strong relationship management skills, ideally with exposure to bank branches or retail sales environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills for engaging bank personnel and clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and comfort with digital sales platforms.
- Willingness to travel regularly for branch visits, sales activations, and client engagements.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience in general insurance underwriting, especially for Motor, Fire, and Personal Accident products.
- Previous involvement in bancassurance branch activations, sales campaigns, or frontline sales coaching.
- Exposure to sales pipeline management tools such as Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales reports, productivity data, and renewal trends.
- Background in handling account management or partnerships within banks or retail financial environments.
- Ability to design or facilitate training sessions, learning modules, or sales huddles for bank teams.
- Certifications such as IIAP courses related to insurance or financial planning.
- Experience working in a matrix organization or cross-functional team environment.
