Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting and business intelligence sectors.
As a Business Data Analyst, you are the vital link between raw company data and strategic business execution. This dynamic role is designed for a technical powerhouse who excels at data warehousing and Power BI dashboarding but also possesses the sharp business acumen needed to map processes, gather requirements, and bridge the gap between engineering teams and senior leadership.
Your Impact
- Data Engineering & Modelling: Consolidate, transform, and integrate data from multiple internal and external pipelines. Design, build, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions using SQL, utilizing best-practice data modelling frameworks like star schemas and semantic layers.
- Insight Generation & Dashboards: Design, build, and optimize high-performing Power BI dashboards and reports. Craft advanced, efficient calculations using DAX and deliver actionable, data-driven insights to both internal business units and external global customers.
- Business Analysis & Process Optimization: Lead stakeholder workshops to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements. Map existing workflows, identify clear opportunities for automation or efficiency, and translate business needs into technical development blueprints.
- Product & System Implementation Support: Partner directly with the Product team to support strategic rollouts. Provide critical technical insights for the implementation, integration, and ongoing maintenance of proprietary platforms, CRM software, telephony systems, and ticketing solutions.
- Testing & Change Management: Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining test scenarios and managing developer feedback loops. Help minimize operational disruption during rollouts by providing clear technical documentation and training support to end-users.
What You Bring
- The Experience:3-5 years of progressive experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a hybrid BA/DA role. You have a solid track record of integrating multiple data sources via ETL/ELT processes and working with API-based integrations.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced, specialized proficiency in Power BI is essential. You possess strong hands-on experience writing complex, optimized queries in SQL and building robust data models in DAX, with a heavy emphasis on data governance.
- The Toolkit: Demonstrated experience in business process mapping, requirements gathering, and workshop facilitation. You know how to translate corporate requests into clear user stories.
- The Credentials: Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor's degree) in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field.
- The Mindset: An analytical thinker with excellent stakeholder management skills. You are highly organized, capable of working independently, and excel at balancing competing development priorities in a fast-paced environment.
