YOUR ROLE
Act as the single point of ownership for Business Controlling and Operations Control, partnering with product and operations teams to ensure financial performance visibility, strong operational controls, and continuous process improvement.
The role combines P&L performance management, KPI monitoring, and operational control governance, ensuring timely reporting, data accuracy, and alignment with Group policies while driving corrective actions and business insights.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO
1. Business Controlling & Performance Management
- Act as Finance Business Partner to Product / Operations leadership (Air, Ocean, and country operations).
- Analyze monthly P&L, KPIs, and trends and prepare management reporting (MBR, dashboards).
- Provide business insights (key accounts, trade lanes, activity trends, cost analysis) to support decision-making.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
- Monitor execution of action plans and support business leaders in performance follow-up.
2. Operations Control & KPI Governance
- Own operation control KPI monitoring and reporting for the country.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in TMS and operational systems.
- Oversee jobfile quality, financial integrity, and timely revenue/cost recognition.
- Perform variance analysis and root cause investigation for KPI deviations.
- Drive corrective actions with stakeholders and track implementation.
3. Internal Control & Process Improvement
- Establish and maintain operations control framework aligned with Group/Regional policies.
- Perform control assessments and implement improvements to strengthen governance.
- Ensure follow-up of internal audit and internal control recommendations.
- Support process optimization initiatives and standardization across functions.
4. Reporting, Analysis & Decision Support
- Produce monthly KPI dashboards and performance summaries for management.
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis on business outlook, cost drivers, and operational performance.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial and operational reporting outputs.
5. Stakeholder Management & Process Deployment
- Coordinate with Product, Operations, Finance, and Regional teams.
- Deploy Group/Regional procedures and best practices locally.
- Lead communication, training, and awareness on operation control standards.
- Support new business initiatives, IT tools, and transformation projects from a control and financial perspective.
6. Team Management
- Manage Supervisor, ensuring clear KPI ownership and deliverables.
- Allocate responsibilities between business analysis vs operational control execution.
- Drive capability building and performance management within the team.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or relevant field.
- At least 5 years experience in finance controlling / operations / logistics environment.
- Strong accounting knowledge and business analysis capability.
- Experience in operations control, KPI tracking, and process improvement.
- Advanced Excel; exposure to BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik) is an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
